tiwimuta by andre walker

new york fashion legend andre walker founded the publication
tiwimuta in 2007. it was described in the paper magazine article
as "a bound exhibition of contributions from his friends --
artists, writers, designers, stylists, photographers, creative soul
mates, inspiring strangers discovered on the street -- whose only
direction was that they not tell walker what they were working on."

featuring works by victoria bartlett, masha orlov, marcelo krasilcic,
hilton als, philippa horan, andrea van der straeten, & jean-paul goude
to name a few.

you can only pick up a copy from a few select stores, including:
barney's, dashwood book, partners and spade & spoon bill and
sugar town (brooklyn)

with an embossed tin cover & amazingly creative photography it

richard avedon at icp

richard aevdon redefined what it meant to be a fashion photographer. choosing to stray from the static formula laid out before him, avedon added a spirit previously unknown.

the exhibition 'avedon fashion 1944 - 2000' runs until september 20th, 2009 and includes vintage prints, contact sheets, magazine layouts and archival material.
