magda beirnat at clic gallery


it seems like there's a post about clic gallery every week,
but they keep on keeping on with fantastic shows.

their latest offering features the work of photographer
magda biernat whose 'continental bounce' series was
shot over one year in 17 different countries. the vibrancy
of the images and the bold yet non-descript aspects of
each of her works creates a series that transports the
viewer to a destination they're unable to identify.

the show will run from february 2nd through march 2nd
with an opening reception february 6th, 6pm - 9pm.

international center for photogaphy - twilight visions


the city of paris experienced dramatic changes in the 1920's
and 30's. this transformation was the catalyst for new directions
in avant garde practice and mass culture. icp's new exhibiton looks
at how the aspects of life at the time informed the work of some of
the cities most celebrated photographers: jacques-andré boiffard,
brassaï, ilse bing, andré kertész, germaine krull, dora maar,
and man ray to name a few.

'twilight visions, surrealism and photography in paris' is running
from january 29th, 2010 through may 9th.
